ONWARD
Onward is an electric long-lined E-bike designed with community and fieldwork in mind: connecting real people and creating real impact. Throughout its form and purpose, it carries movement and forwardness expressed through strong horizontal and arrow-shaped elements. In action, Onward exemplifies progress in the environment and community.

INITIAL JOURNEY MAP
After conducting one-on-one interviews, we evaluated and visualized task-related emotional values to uncover the negative emotional experiences while working.
The Value Proposition Circle shows the current qualities of job functions and is utilized to pinpoint areas for improvement, while The Value Proposition Square highlights improvement opportunities aligned with needs observed in the Consumer Profile VPC Circle.
A.I as Inspiration
Our group collaborated on defining ‘thematic’ words to symbolize and represent the goals of our motto: “Connecting Real People, Creating Real Impact.” Using Open A.I’S Dall-E 2, we finalized some tangible words as as prompts to create a sense of visual language, and thus a finalized moodboard.

After developing varying fidelities of Fusion 360 CAD models, our group used the VRed Pro Headset
and the VR Vibe Studio software to gain insight on scale, proportion, and proper fit.
MY GROUPMATES AND I’S ATTACHMENT POINT IDEATIONS
EXPLODED VIEW
FRONT Attachment
On the other end, the front attachment point acts as a way to ease the difficulties of multitasking when using the E-bike. It is designed to hold personal items such as water bottles, towels, or any other item a user might need while particpating in these beach clean ups, especially on days when it is really hot.
Using the same attachment mechanism throughout, Onward Frontier allows for easy and simple modularity, to help users efficiently use the bike for their beach cleanups.
Back Attachment
The Onward E-Bike is desoigned for modularity, with an attachment point mechanism, that allows for different types of attachments to be slid on with ease. The Onward Frontier bike, specifically designed for beach clean ups as its designated type of fieldwork, has two different types of attachment points.
The back, or rear, attachment is designed as a smart trash collection. Using the application of the NCR Halo Checkout technology, cameras will sense the materials being placed into the bins, and record them in the team’s account for a smarter data collection.
